A complete fire alarm system is not necessary for a private, residential property. Ahat you need are the detectors which are connected and represent the input for the control unit of the alarm system. We really can protect life and property with a suitable, affordable solution.
IDS Global has been supplying and installing automatic security gate and automation systems for many years. We are able to offer all types of access control tailored to suit our customer's needs and have a wide base of experience in all sizes of automation projects both domestic and commercial.
For private properties we recommend our clients the smoke detectors: these fully functional devices will automatically detect smoke in the area of the building they are installed to protect.
We use Optical, Ionisation and Beam Detectors and select the correct detector for the location of the installation.
Due to Health & Safety regulations, commercial properties are legally required to have fully fitted fire alarm systems. We can provide your commercial premises with two types of alarm systems and professionally guide you with your choice of alarms.
In a Conventional Fire Alarm System, a number of call points and detectors are wired to the Fire Alarm Control Panel in Zones. A Zone is a circuit and typically one would wire a circuit per floor or fire compartment. The Fire Alarm Control Panel has a number of Zone Lamps aimed to give a rough idea as to where a fire has occurred.
The accuracy of knowing where a fire has started is controlled by the number of Zones a Control Panel has and the number of circuits that have been wired within the building. The Control Panel is wired to a minimum of two sounder circuits which could contain bells, electronic sounders or other audible devices. Each circuit has an end of line device which is used for monitoring purposes.
The detection principle of an Addressable System is similar to a Conventional System except that the Control Panel can determine exactly which detector or call point has initiated the alarm. The detectors are essentially Conventional Detectors, with an address built in.
These type of systems are intelligent and more versatile; they can extend and be adapted to changing operations or uses. Printers and Networking can also be achieved with these type of systems and can interface to a multitude of other services. We recommend Addressable systems for medium to larger buildings and don't forget to take advantage of our free survey service to make sure which is the most suitable choice.
COMPONENTS OF A FIRE ALARM SYSTEM
- Optical Smoke Detector: device that senses smoke, typical indicator of fire. - Heat detector: device that will detect abnormally high temperatures or rapid rises in temperature.
- Flashing beacon: device that emit intermittent light to signal the presence of a fire (fundamental to render the signal perceptible also for people with poor capacity of haring) - Sounders: signal acoustic device which emit loud sounds to signal the situation of risk. - Call points: the aim of these devices is to give the possibility to anyone to activate the signal of alarm in case of risk.
IDS Global (UK) is not only able to provide our clients with an equipment that will keep your domestic or commercial property and its occupants safe in the event of a fire, but also to perform high quality maintenance inspections and repairs, ensuring your equipment functions as intended.
